The material is light, wicking, and most importantly--it does not chafe anywhere (or at least, I didn't have any chafing issues). The sleeves come down about halfway between my shoulder and elbow, which is a good length. The shorts come down a few inches above my knee. I am 5'4'' 120lbs and ordered the small based on the sizing chart. The suit fits true to size and is tight, but not uncomfortably so ( I like my suits to be very tight on my body). The front of the suit has a zipper, and there are two ice pockets on the insides of the top part. There are 2 pockets for fuel/gels in the back. I would have preferred an extra pocket or little pockets in the legs for gels, but it's not a big deal.
The chamois is very comfortable compared to other suits I've worn, and while it is on the thicker side, it didn't bother me at all while I was running. I think I like the chamois in this suit more than the chamois in my other suits! You do need to wear a bra with this suit--there is no built-in bra. I also liked the color choices for this suit. I ordered the 'horizon' color scheme and really like it!
Overall, this is an excellent tri suit, in terms of comfort, quality of material, color and design. While it costs less than most main-brand trisuits, it has the same quality. I would definitely recommend this suit.
- FIT - For size context, I am 5'3" and ordered a Large, recommended for:
Bust 37-39" (Me: 38"), Waist 30-32" (Me: 30"), Hip 40-42" (Me: 38")
The fit is perfect = no excess material, snug but NOT restrictive or see-through.
- QUALITY - This feels like a premium suit, comparable to other premium brands of a similar price point. Materials used are great, breathable, slightly compressive. Stitching and zipper are smooth.
- DESIGN - I love that the front zipper part overlaps with the bottom shorts section, providing some extra support withou being too bulky. Side mesh panels offer great ventilation/breathability. Arms offer a nice level of compression. Zipper cover protects the neck/chest. Chamois is sufficient and comfortable. Anti-slip leg cuffs. Interior and exterior pockets. (Does not have neck ice pocket)
Overall, this is a premium suit at a fair price point. It is very nice, well-designed, great quality and I would highly recommend. I will be washing in Active Wear cycle and air drying. If anything comes up with durability, I will update this review. Otherwise, if no update, you can assume I am still happy training and racing in this tri suit. :)
