- the zipper was always stuck 3/4 way, requiring fiddling with the neck back flaps.
- the end of the zipper line was a nonsense with a velcro point wrapped in a piece of fabric. So when that piece lost I had the velcro end scratching my skin randomly making me jumping...
- noticed several stitches obviously not properly done in several spots (tangled blobs).
- the neck end of the zipper was always exposing the back of my neck for the water as after zipping and velcroing it, it was creating a bulge drawing the neck seal up there. Never had that problem with any of 6 of my other wetsuits (2x cold/medium scuba, 2x warm and cold snorkeling, windsurfing, and surfing).
No wonder that after just 5 months of swimming in it, it has developed horrendows cracks in the neck seal. All despite the proper care after each swim and overall careful use coming from 30 years of watersports experience. All other parts of the suit are still good. Thus, I believe that was a bad neck seal piece craftsmanship (either sewn at the stress or just a subpar seal's material).
No way that's a serious triathlon suit, which supposed to withstand even dry running. Just some overpriced imitation or gimmick. Now the water is coming Under that stretched seal as I'm brassing through at a high pace, tearing it further and further...
The warranty doesn't cover that either. I have sent them all my above concerns and a dozen of high res images of issues. They've said that it is a norm for all their rubbery products and not manufacturing defects.
All in all, I would highly recommend to stay away from that new and flashy China "brand" Synergy for a couple of years at least, as they are still learning how to make quality wetsuits. Don't make my mistake.
I started with the Endorphin and used it to swim in the Puget Sound during winter. As it has gotten warmer I've bought their lighter designs.
Amazon will honor their return policy. I suggest buying the size you think you will fit into and you can try it a few times and return or exchange it if it isn't the right fit. I was between two sizes and have done this twice with two of the 3 suits I now own.
