As a petite woman i appreciate the wide range of sizes, and this does indeed fit like a second skin. I bought this to replace my Orca Sonar, a 5mm suit which I've had for maybe 8 years and just feels too constricting around the ribcage and too buoyant. If you have scoliosis (and even if you don't) you'll appreciate the ability to twist and rotate without undue effort. The Volution is easy to get on and off thanks to the stretch, tho I would have liked a key pocket somewhere. Minus 1 star for customer service - called and emailed via chat presale as I was debating whether to go with Volution or Endorphin and could not get anyone to respond . After 2 days I bit the bullet and went with the lighter weight suit, hoping it would be warm enough for Lake Michigan at 55F, which is when I typically get in for the season. Today it was 59-61 according to Surfline.com, 74 air and sunny. I was perfectly warm for an hour swim at this temp, in tandem with a neoprene cap. I think I could handle a little colder in this as well. I did get a little light abrasion on a part of my neck and an armhole where I had applied body glide but not too bad, the neck is pretty low and quite soft. I swam commando in this and recommend it, the interior liner is soft. I did get a little water in the suit in the hollow of my back but with more wearing I expect it will conform to my shape more. I like the buoyancy, it's more like the pool and I can actually get some traction with my feet. Highly recommend thus far. I just hope I don't have a customer service issue!
It is on the thinner side so there is slightly less buoyancy compared to other wetsuits I've swam in, but I actually prefer this. The water temperature has been around 69 F (21 C) here and I've been more than comfortable. I have a feeling though that below 65 F (18 C) or so, I'll need to wear my thicker suit.
Comes fit and very comfy.
